To Longroute: Lazarus
Ciao Donato,

When you look at a map you will notice that Palestine and Cyprus are not really that far apart.
Furthermore, Lazarus (or his body anyway) has traveled a lot more after his second death.
The dead body was brought from Larnaca to Constantinople.
And later even to Marseille. This according to the history.

Best regards, Paul

Ciao Paul,

thank you for your kind answer.
Yes, I know what you mean, of course he could have easily travelled from one place to the other, but in those matters it's always difficult to distinguish between hystory and myth, most of the times the latter prevails on the first, as your interesting note says, also Autun, France claims to have his tombs...
and it's always like this with saints, so many different legends and no proof.
Even about well known and documented historical figures like Cristoforo Colombo we have several "interpretations", at least four nations claim to have been his home town: Portugal, Spain, Italy and even Calvi in Corsica where tourists can visit the house where they say he was born...
Anyway an interesting story!

Best regards,
