Edit a critique
What happened to the “edit” link in the critique’s section? Can not find it anymore.

Re: Edit a critique
Hi Antonio
You cannot edit critiques anymore, only for 15 mn after posting it it is still possible... Don't ask me why... there was a thread about this, but as it got quite out of line and has been deleted!

Re: Edit a critique
A critique can be edited for 15 minutes after it's been posted. I believe the reason this was done is to counter the users whom were critiquing with promises to return later for points (against the TOS).

Re: Edit a critique
Amigo Antonio,

......"We will be implementing a tech feature in the near future, that will lock posts in Critiques and Comments 15 minutes after posting. When you post Critiques and Comments on photos, you will have 15 minutes to change what you've written before the posting is locked. This is to prevent abuse of the system.

This won't affect the amount of time you have to compose your post...take as long as you like!......" By jCogan

Um abraço, espero ter ajudado a perceberes

Re: Edit a critique
I don't know whether it's been a problem here, but I have seen plenty of instances on other sites (not necessarily photo sites) where apparently deliberately provocative comments have been posted, and then either modified or deleted by the poster after others have replied. That may be part of the reason for the action.
If you preview your comment/critique before posting there shouldn't be any need to edit after the event.

Re: Edit a critique
Someone had already given this suggestion, but it was not very clear, not for me, anyway. Now I understood and I share the idea with all of you... For those who would like to say something more about a picture, after the newly-available-critiques-editing 15 minutes, there is the option Create a new discussion, below the Photographers' note. It is an option almost never used which can be useful.
What do you think?

Watch out for the Wolf Pack, Dan!!

I said that same thing and they suddenly forgot all about this being a "friendly" site and they went crazy!

Re: Edit a critique
This is ridiculous because I can come back the next day and write/award the points to whom I want. By doing this, I am still using the daily 20 critiques/40 points allowance. I can not see the point of locking the “edit” facility.

Re: Edit a critique
Hi Antonio;

I wrote a critique earlier today. I have just tried to go back and ammend it- and the option is not there for me. I cannot delete it, I can not ammend it, the only thing I can do to it is 'reply' to it.

There have been some recent discussions on TE in regards to their critiques being removed because they were suggesting returning to award points later (TOS). So it seems as thought his has been implemented to stop that from happening.

Now if you write a critique and don't award points, you're unable to come back and do it at another time. If there is a critique which you really need to critique (vs. simply clarifying/ correcting in a reply to the critique), you can try dropping an e-mail to the moderators.

Even a little child is able to count with his fingers.
With booth rules the result is same; the total amount is 20 rated Critics every day.

By the way : What's the TE point value in Wall Street this day ?
