Default To Dpbours: Great idea!

Hi Dennis
Thanks for the pointers and the W/S photo! The post processed version indeed looks better with intensified colors of the rainbow. I'll try the same steps on GIMP to see if I can achieve the same effects. By the way, how do you desaturate just the rocks?
Seb

Hi Seb,

Two possibilities to do that:

1. Layer the photo, make it black and white, delete all parts that you want in colour (these are still colour in the lower photograph) and merge the layers - can be with a slight level of transparency to get good overflow of colour and black and white.

2. Use a desaturation brush if your program has one. Easy, but since you might go over the same part twice not as accurate as the first option.

Good luck! Dennis

Thank you Dennis, I will try these out on the software. Fun stuff to learn!
