Great Furachan 2006-07-30 21:45

This is a CLASSIC portrait, Rosie, very strong work, strong statement here. In fact this could have been taken during the 30's by the Walker Evans crew around the time of the New Deal. I have seen few close portraits that had this amount of "heft" and resonance. Your BW tones are masterly. I am humbled...
Best,
Francis

Default To Furachan: Words like a vintage wine

English, please !!!!
Man, o' man. I'm nut about your linguistic skills, the way you phrase out your feelings and about your knowledge.
Francis, is there anything out there you don't know about?
Any theme, any historical event, ANY NAME you're not familiar with?
This is touching the edge of wizardry, and the only one thing left for me is to sit here, with the saliva dripping from my wide open mouth and read those comments of yours, and tastes them like an excellent, vintage wine that goes fast to my head.
Thanks Mr. H.
It's a real treat for me.

Well no but, you see, I can't just let Luko mouth off all by himself about a thousand and one things (and that boy knows a LOT, trust me). I mean, he might feel lonesome, so...pretentious as I am, I pull out these references - all it comes down to, Rosiem is I'm old (well sort of) and cranky...and a bore. Voila!

Hi Francis- it actually George who said all those wonderful things about you, but I'll definitely agree. You most certainly know a lot- it’s inspiring.

My abject apologies, George - these kind and inflated words came from you, man, not Rosie!!! This is another example of BOKEH, in Japan bokeh is ordinarily used to mean an "absent minded person"...well that's me !
And thank you...again, very much indeed.
Francis
