Photographers Note
In late afternoon the Sahara sand dunes glow with deep colours but in the middle of the day the colours are much lighter (and with plenty of glare). This photo was taken in the early afternoon and shows that in spots grass does grow.
I was taken by lines of shadow down the side of the sand dune as well as the waves of wind marks in the sand.

Hello Ian,
The light is controlled perfectly and nestompe none details of the ground. Wrinkles of sand, and the fine shades of grasses are very pleasant to see. I like to guess the village at the horizon. Excellent composition, very good realization. congratulations.
Have a nice day.
Cordially.

I love this one, Ian, so simple and so refreshing! The contrast between the pure driven sand and the fresh green grass is lovely and you have framed it all so well. regards Kevin

Hello Ian,
The depth of this picture is magnificent and very unique composition. I really like the shadows cast by the weeds growing in the sand. Very well seen!
Best wishes,
