Photographer's Note

As we drove above the upper Dades valley I spotted this glimpse of traditional domestic life below. The family appeared to be living in caves with several stone enclosures. To the right you can see a woman in red tending to a small herd of goats. Towards the left you can see her small child next to a stone wall. There was no sign of anything growing although there was a small stream below the scene. Access would have been up/down a steep hill.
In the workshop is a closer up photo of mother, child and goats taken on maximum zoom so not as sharp as could be desired.
