Photographer's Note

There is an animal market in Douz every thursday morning. It doesn't really come through in this picture, but the ground is covered with goats and sheep, some can be seen under the palm tree to the left. I have another shot from here with one of the camels that were sold here. This was a really busy place, walking to the further end of the picture is a real project. The western-looking person in the foreground is my travel companion Fredrik.

Editing included a lot of manual dust-removal. I also auto-equalized and adjusted allover tone curve and separately the blue channel. I also sharpened some, but since this picture has so many small objects I didn't want to make it too sharp in order to keep compression low - I think this compromise is worthwhile.

I would like to have suggestions on cropping, I realise that the half face up front is a bit in the way, although it adds even more life to the picture. I didn't want to crop him out though, because that would mean I would have lost the framing that I like quite a lot, with the palm trees and all.
