Scenes from a Fair - III

One more image of an elderly lady selling peacock plumes at the Book Fair.Peacock plumes or feathers are shed annually and the birds are not being killed for their feathers. They are used for decoration at home,as a bookmark,or bunched together to be used as a duster. It is being kept inside a book mostly as a symbol of romance.Lovers at times present each other peacock plume as a symbol of love and romance.
