Photographer's Note

Portrait of a friendly camel wallah taken at Sam Dunes, Thar desert in Bikaner. I was drawn by the expressive face and his lines of life and was fortunate that he was more than happy to pose for me as reflected by his sparkling eyes. The peoples warmth, smile, helpful nature and friendliness meets me in many places in Rajasthan.

I used my old faithful Manual Focusing Nikkor 50mm F1.4, rarely use now but thought it would be good ideas for this close up as the light was natural, the ever ready willing subject and found the opportunity just ripe to give it a try for a quick burst of shots.

Setting: 50 mm, 1/500 sec, F1.4, ISO Raw 200, 1636 hrs

Amo suas fotos sobre pessoas, sempre ficam tăo boas! A nitidez e o foco estăo perfeitos nessa foto. Vocę conseguiu capar toda a expressăo de felicidade do senhor. Excelente enquadramento, cores bonitas e luz excelente. Adicionei ŕs minhas fotos favoritas!

How wonderful that you could engage so well with these warm and friendly people - and you have captured this man's happy and friendly nature perfectly in this stunning portrait.

Your use of your "old faithful" lens at full aperture has produced the desired effect with every pore, hair and detail of the man's face perfectly captured against a very nicely out of focus background.

Lovely light, true colours, perfect exposure and exquisite details and sharpness.
