Photographer's Note

I have Angshu to thank for these photos and for these experiences. Anghsu is no longer active on TE, his last post was in 2016. Before leaving Canada for India, I asked him where he recommend I visit that is off the tourist map. There are very few photos of Bundi on TE, and a large number of them are mine! The last posted shot from Bundi on TE was in 2018, then the next group before all of my shots are from 2013.

He suggested I visit the city of Bundi. Its about 200km south of Jaipur, and well worth the time and effort to get here. You will probably find yourself being the only tourist in town, or at least one of the very few.

It's a city with blue walls, blue narrow passage ways, and beautiful old architecture, its rustic, its real, its dirty, and its SO much fun :)

When I was walking around here, I got a lot of attention. It's not everyday locals got to see a white person in their city. These children followed me around for quite some time, and they were more than happy to pose and joke around. The children in this photo are actually VERY well dressed and clean. Many of the children i encountered in India were the opposite, often without shoes, clothes with holes in them, quite dirty, eating food from the street...these kids appear to be very well cared for.

That poor cow haha, they kept pulling on the cows horns, teasing it, playing with it, but the cow didn't really seem to mind. I literally have dozens and dozens of photos of these kids, and other kids, so it's hard to chose only three to show.

Take a look in the WS for two more. I hope you like it.
