A simple shot from my walk out which brings back memories of sun, sand & seawater sliding through the toes on a wander along the seafront at Wonokaka fishing village, South Sumba island.

Saw this lone figure casting a fishing net early in the morning full of enthusiasm it seemed. It was pretty wild on the beach with big waves being whipped up by winds at high tide and the effects can be seen in the foam. The net is circular with small weights around its edge and it is cast by hand in such a way that it spreads out on the water and sinks. The fish are caught as the fisherman is hauling the net back in but fishing this way is very effective for catching small fish.

And this is one of the images I managed to capture

Hello Abbdmsudi,

This is a difficultly lit shot to which you have responded with great skill!
The light over the waves is amazing, creating a sense of movement on a still photograph!
The silhouetted figure is strongly placed and it is possible to perceive the subtle position of his hands.

Means the same es the early bird gets the worm. Literally it says: he who gets up early will find gold! :)

You have perfect timing and framing to this fisherman and his net. Bright backlight makes exposure tricky, and all the silvery reflections look great.

What a gorgeous view of the sea, which reflected the golden light of the sun so wonderfully. It creates such a beautiful and artistic photo with amazing patterns and texture on and around the big waves. The silhouette of the fisherman is very well included at left.
