Photographer's Note

Every night one of the central streets in Louang Prabang is taken over by local tradespeople- a 500m long strip with stalls set up on both sides of the road- you can find soem really interesting things here; silks, traditional herbal medicines and all kinds of cheap fake goods. What really makes it lovely though is the light- every stall has an electric bulb hanging at about the same height to the stall next, so you get a row of lights just stretching off into the night. I took this photo from a set of steps just to the side of the road, trying to get the impression of the lights just stretching off.
