Photographer's Note

What call my attention to take this photo was that I found this scene very similar to the pictures from Jean Francois Millet, a french painter specialized in rural live, being raised in a farm , knew about it

Then, reading the comments of TE members about my previous post I made same research and found that this cereal was not wheat as it seems to be at first view but millet, a grain used in Africa and India as a staple food

I was really shocked by the coincidence and decided to post this capture

Millet (painter)
He was the first painter to endow rural life with a dignity and monumentality that transcend realism, making the peasant an almost heroic figure
His most famous works are Angelous and Gleaners

Millet (grain)
Is one of the oldest foods known to humans and possibly the first cereal grain to be used for domestic purposes. It is mentioned in the Bible, and was used during those times to make bread
Today millet ranks as the sixth most important grain in the world, sustains 1/3 of the world’s population and is a significant part of the diet in northern China, Japan, Manchuria and various areas of the former Soviet Union, Africa, India, and Egypt.
