Photographer's Note

I took this image well after dusk and the available light was very low, in spite of all the butter lamps. With the camera on the tripod and 1600 ISO dialled in, I was only getting 1/6 sec exposure time. On top of that my remote release refused to work and I used self-timer instead so it was a case of hit and miss: every time the ladies moved their heads or someone walked passed the photo was ruined...

An alternative title for this image is "Back to Nepal", as I'm flying there tomorrow. I'm planning to visit all the places in Kathmandu Valley I saw in December 2014, a few months before the devastating earthquake: Bodhnath, Patan, Nagarkot, Kathmandu and a few others.

I took some of my favourite images in Kathmandu Valley and brought some great memories from Nepal. So I decided to go back there, now it really needs tourists.

And I challenge all TE members to follow in my footsteps!
