Photographer's Note

The first TE Manila Meet was scheduled on Maundy Thursday, 9th April 2009, triggered by the moon's gravitational appeal, a full moon that is, according to the lunar calendar. Three members of TE were pulled into a watering hole, Arvin (arvinnino), Jorge (Bruno40) and myself.

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and the clouds were starting to develop over the bay area. After the acquaintance and a small chat, we decided to go to the pre-determined photo site an hour before moonrise and inspected the area. A lot of opportunities for sunset photography...unfortunately, the view to the East looks bleak for a moonrise shot...a lot of tall trees and buildings and later fifteen minutes before moonrise, a thicket of clouds started to cover the sky to the east, and the Sun is setting fast!

This photo was taken while we were exploring the area as Arvin and Jorge were exploring the breakwater. The view is looking at NNE into Binondo and South Pier area. I also included photos of master landscape photographer Jorge in the workshop and with Arvin during their "recon" ...

Shot Azimuth: North

Next full moon: 9th May, Saturday :>

PS: Jorge, how do I create the link of your names to your TE account? Gracias!
