Banpo Bridge Rainbow Fountain is installed along 570m on both sides of Banpodaegyo Bridge, with 380 nozzles spraying water from the river below out into a beautiful show of water, music, and lights. The fountain is programmed to play different shows during the day and night. During the day, the fountain shows a hundred different configurations meant to evoke waving willow branches and willow leaves. When the sun goes down, 200 lights illuminate the fountain as it sends out dancing, rainbow-colored jets of water in the air in synchronization with music.

Banpo Bridge Rainbow Fountain operates every day from April to October, four to six times a day for 20 minutes.

Here comes the sad part of the bridge:
while the bridge was built with the purpose of serving as a transit artery, it’s also been darkly co-opted by those looking for a place to end their own lives, and the site sees more suicides than almost any other in Korea.

Unfortunately, a public service campaign looking to reverse the tragic trend has had the opposite effect, with suicides at Mapo Bridge increasing more than sixfold since the campaign began. Looking over the guardrails of the Mapo Bridge, it's a 60-foot drop into the Han River. That's probably not high enough to die on impact, but that hasn't stopped many people from trying.

In September of 2012, authorities initiated the Bridge of Life Project in cooperation with Samsung Life Insurance and Cheil Worldwide, an advertising and public relations firm. As part of the project, reassuring messages were written on handrails and signs at intervals along the bridge, such as “Have you been eating alright?” and “Let’s walk together,” ostensibly giving the impression of a conversation with a concerned friend.

Hence the fountain is being designed to transform it into "Bridge of Life" to give hope for those who are thinking of suicidal attempt from this bridge

Only after i viewed this shot in monitor, then i realized my camera was exposed to the chill wind for at least 2 hours which was the cause why you see blurry white stuff on my starlight burst effect of the street light, there is a thin layer of water on my lens

Thanks for ready
