Photographer's Note

There were too many of them. They were also very friendly. One of them even landed on my shoulder when I was photographing the other. I was able to come very close to them, thus, the shallow DOF of my camera was put to optimum use. The other side of the wings was flapping thus the blur. BUT, I couldn't ask for a more cooperative subject. All I need is the right background and the boots to wade through the pond. I didn't have the latter but I had my TE experience and my insights about proper angle learned here, I knew, could create a good picture. The intersection of the leaves of the grass was a good angle to frame such a real beauty. So, here it goes...

(the color of the dragonfly is real as Nikon Coolpix portray it, I only sharpened the picture and added just a bit more blur to the background)
