Photographer's Note

The daily life on the Mekong is simply fascinating to discover. The people living on the river have integrated their life in their houseboat which serves as a ‘grocery shop’ on the floating markets.
The floating markets really sparkle with life. Boats are scattered all around and cover almost every inch of the Mekong. The smaller rowboats try to balance themselves in between the junks to buy their goods (I posted a general view of the Can Tho floating market in the WS).
On one of these junks this mother with child was just dealing with the daily worries of boat life.
