Photographer's Note

This picture was taken during an excursion, when we had a typical Cuban lunch in a place like a jungle.
We can see some banana trees in the foreground and some palm trees in the background. We can see that banana trees are not tall and their leaves are large. Palm trees have tufts of leaves at the top and their leaves are almost like needles.

Note: I can't see the difference between the conifers… fir, spruce, larch... they all look the same for me. But here in Canada, they can easily distinguish them. Incredible! I think maybe the same thing happens for some people from here, when it comes to tropical trees.
I saw a tourist in Cuba, holding a banana bunch near a mini palm tree and posing for a photo, as she had just picked it from the tree.
Because of this, I'm posting this picture, so we can see the difference between a palm tree and a banana tree.

In the Workshop # 1, we have a banana bunch with its flower.

In the Workshop # 2, a girl touching a banana bunch, to give scale.
