Photographers Note
Here's a great view of Vermunt Glacier (left), Ochsental Glacier (right), Piz Buin (3312m ... the middle peak),
and Wiesbaderner Hütte (2443m). Although Piz Buin is the highest peak in the Voralburg it is not the highest peak of Silvretta group to which it belongs. It is third highest after Piz Linard and Fluchthorn. The border between Switzerland and Austria crosses the summit of Piz Buin.

I think that here what it really makes the difference is the cloudy sky, that gives this very beautiful light, and this special atmosphere.
Much better than with a blue sky !

An excellent shot of this mountain range. I like the colors that appear here without the benefit of much light. The brown appears to be lichen, but maybe this is iron ore. Anyway it is very attractive. I have been to Voralberg many times, but I am unfamiliar with this area. I have driven the Silveretta highway and have been in the mountains near Tschagguns. I was there last month and took one of the cable cars to the top. Great place. Cheers. Roger

Hallo Latiff!
YES, that's MY region. I've been there 59 times until now and I think I'll visit Montafon valley, especially the village Partenen, more often. In 1974 I stood on top of Piz Buin ;-))
Your photo, I think nit was taken near Radsattel, shows the heart of Silvretta in a magnificent way. he recessipon of glaciers really is a drama.
Thank you for this great picture! Greetings from Germany!
Frank
