Why a Scottish castle in France ?
At the beginning of the 15th century half of France was occupied by the English.
The dolphin of France Charles taken refuge in Berry calls the Scottish for help.
450 Scots his joined the French Army and the English underwent a defeat in the battle of Beauge in 1421.

Every year at Aubigny on Nere, you can assist the French Scottish festival between the 11 and the 14 of july.
