Photographer's Note

I thought I should continue with my mini series from the La Defense area in Paris.

I'm sure you all know about the famous colourful chimney stack in this area. It's been featured on TE several times, and for good reason.

The chimney stack isn't as tall as I thought it would be, its probably 120 feet or so. And seeing it in person is actually a little Underwhelming at first, but then you get over it and you start to realize its photographic potential very quickly.

Locals walk past this stack of colourful stripes as if it isn't even there. All you have to do is just wait for the right person to walk into your frame.

At first I couldn't find it, so I was asking people on the street, asking people who worked inside the nearby stores...and nobody had a clue what I was talking about! Locals were completely unaware of such a colourful chimney stack. In the end I gave up asking, and just continued my search - that's when I finally found it.

Anyways, there are two more examples in the WS if you're interested. thanks for looking
