The ruins of the fort still majestically dominate the collar of Vizzavona (1163 m) from where this pic is taken. With this height, the beech grove replaced the splendid national forest of pines laricio.
Behind plane, the Mont ORO culminates to 2 389 Mr. It is on the circuit of the famous GR20.
The floriferous stem is that of the digitalis purple, beautiful and dangerous and which, contrary to what is known as in many collections and Web sites, push extremely well in Corsica above 1000 m, at the edge of the forest roads, skirts of forest, clearings…
