Photographer's Note

In the valley of Giffre (Haute Savoie),the 'Tenneverge' (2989 m)
dominates of more than 2000 m the meadows of the
commune of Sixt and constitutes the entrance door of
the 'Circus of Fer-ŕ-Cheval', bigger french alpine
mountainous circus and classified Big National Site.
To climb this face requires a dozen hours and is quite dangerous.
Jacques Balmat, the 1st conqueror of 'Mont Blanc', died here in 1834, falling while he was in
search of a hypothetical reef.
