Photographer's Note

The Fondation Louis Vuitton, designed by Frank Gehry, is one of the most recent additions to Paris’s rich architectural landscape. Completed in 2014, the building was designed to resemble a cloud of glass. Gehry's bold approach to architectural form, most evident in buildings like the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA, matches the foundation's aim to "promote and support contemporary and artistic creation" in France.
However, there seems to be doubts if the enormous sailed structure, challenged by local opposition from the outset, has settled into its Parisian parkland surroundings.

For my first posting of this work of art, I have chosen to feature the architectural aspect in B&W, even though the building was covered by a breathtaking array of colored filters by French artist Daniel Buren under the 'Observatory of Light' project.

P.S.: The colour version is available in the WS
