Fordongianus, a small town of Oristano country takes its name to the Roman "Forum Trajani" the first century a.c.
Fordongianus is well known for the presence of a Roman bath complex and the presence of numerous quarries fine trachyte of different colors.
Fordongianus (36 m. above sea level) is situated on a platform trachytic, near the Tirso river.
The complex, built by Emperor Trajan, in its original building dates back to the first century a.C. and uses the waters that flow in the locality Caddas to a temperature of 54 C °.
Among the impressive ruins are still the large rectangular pool (natatio), once covered by a barrel vault and surrounded by a majestic portico of which there are some arches.

Today Fordongianus and its New Termal Center are a really top-level business.
These are waters for drinking, bathing and inhalation. They are in fact used in treatments such as hydrotherapy, mud baths, thermal baths, lymphatic drainage, massage therapy, aerosol, nasal douches, etc..

The baths of Fordongianus are particularly suitable for the treatment of gastritis, obesity, for respiratory diseases, rheumatic, allergic and skin diseases. Finally, there are numerous beauty treatments, particularly those with applications developed with mud.
