Castle of Rocchette di Massa Martana
The small castle of the Rocchette rises above a hill, along the Spoleto-Todi road.
The complex was born at the beginning, as a fortified place in control of the streets that passed at the foot of the hill and consisted of a single lookout tower as the names "Turris Symonis et Mariani" or "Roccha Symonis et Mariani" (Tower or Fortress of Simon and Mariano) with which the fort is mentioned in documents of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, the oldest so far found.
