Chiesa di S. Angelo Izzano – Sant’Angelo Izzano – Spoleto (PG)
It stands on the top of a hill (359 m) between Sant’Anastasio and the castle of Morgnano. Here there was the ancient castle, already open and fortified settlement at the end of the XIV century, included in the list of rebel places to the Municipality of Spoleto of which Cardinal Vitelleschi ordered the demolition of the walls in the XIV century. In the 14th century the church depended on the populace of "S. Savino de plano ', or San Sabino, as resulting from the fourteenth century Pelosius code, where it is mentioned with the name of S. Angeli de Gizzano and appears to be cured with an income of 10 florins.
