Castle of Saccovescio - Preci - Umbria
The village is located along the road that leads to Visso, within the Monti Sibillini National Park.
The premises of the agrarian community preserve an ancient Roman stone of particular value, a small funerary altar in white travertine that sees represented in bas-relief a satyr with double-flute flute, among graceful dancers covered with veils.
Not far away we find the fourteenth-century church dedicated to Santo Spes, the founder of the eremitical and monastic life before St. Benedict. It is characterized by a brick floor, a vaulted roof, a front door and a side door, two altars, an ancient Roman fragment set into the wall depicting a winged griffin embellished with floral elements.
The church located within the town is dedicated to Saints Peter and Spes, just outside the village the small Church of the Madonna della Cona or of the Posatoro.
