Photographer's Note
This is a typical Italian signpost at an intersection between the main coastal road and a minor road leading up the mountainside. And if you are driving along the Adriatic coast at S.S.16, parallel to the Autostrada Adriatica (A14) - going through all the cities, towns and villages - you'll see a lot of them.
And if you are looking for that turn to "Monte-something" you've better be quick, because traffic runs at 70-80 km/h between houses, pedestrians, dogs and other cars. You'll probably end up missing that turn - but OK, that's life...
If you, on the other hand, prefer the autostrada (A14), be sure to do that northbound. This will give you a wonderful view over the coast and the Adriatic Sea. Southbound means mostly looking at the flower-adorned barrier.
This is my first attempt scanning a 10x15cm (4x6") color print at 300dpi (Primax Colorado) and using the freeware version of NeatImage.
After scanning and running NeatImage: Cropped; increased Hue +10; resized; sharpened once; framed and saved for Web.
Critique and tips are, as always, welcome!

This is great! It's so typically Italian. I have a similar shot as this I took from a fast moving car so it is not as clear. The only thing this is missing is the signs facing both directions and the numerous private signs for restaurants and pharmacies and such. It's a nice strong blue that really emphasizes the sign. Nice job.

Reminds me very much of Sicily. The general anarch on the roads means that you haven't much time to peruse signs, so finding your way is almost impossible. This is a good documentary shot, which may actually have been made even better if you'd taken a slow exposure and had a blurred car passing in the foreground.

Nice color contrast and so many signs. With so many signs only the locals can find the way because there is no time to read all this so you could just as well remove them all ;o)

funny sign!
I can´t understand how people can see the bottom sign when they are driving in the evening!!!
jag förstĺr inte hur folk ska kunna se den nedersta skylten när de kör bil om det är mörkt!!!
kul bild!

Cute title and very well composed indeed! :-) I like the way you have cropped it and framed it, as well as the natural colours you presented this picture in. Very well seen and captured!

Incredible !! I can hardly believe what I'm seeing. How is it possible for drivers to find out their way, without stopping for reading ?
Good framing, which emphasizes the exagerated number of roadsigns. A clever title also, very good work !

Yeap! As we can see at your photo, all roads seems to drive to Rome! :)
