Photographer's Note

One day you’ll look and see I’ve gone,
For tomorrow may rain, so
I’ll follow the sun.

Some day you’ll know I was the one,
But tomorrow may rain, so
I’ll follow the sun.

And now the time has come and so my love I must go,
And though I lose a friend in the end you will know,

One day you’ll look and see I’ve gone,
For tomorrow may rain, so
I’ll follow the sun.

"I'll follow the sun", Lennon/McCartney, from "Beatles for Sale" (december 1964)

I was 14 when I heard Beatles for the first time, and since that day, the world couldn't be the same any more. In fact, the four men from Liverpool have given the world to me, as they have to millions of other young naive silly romantics... The proud owner of 5 or 6 cassette tapes with their albums, recorded with an unbelievably low quality, I was completely and utterly happy. I knew all their songs by heart, I´m not joking...

22 years have passed, and the world has changed a lot of times since then. The photo I show today was taken several days ago at the beach in Egmond aan Zee, at sunset, and these four funny silouettes have of course nothing to do with the Beatles...
