Photographer's Note

Although this picture was taken yesterday and it was changed a little bit, I can assure you that the buildings that you can see in the photo have remained unchanged for more than 100 years. There are no cars, the road doesn't know asphalt. Of course people use electricity and they have satelite dishes, however the chimneys are still being used during winter. Every house has to be heated with coal.

This is not a village. It's a part of Warsaw, even if it's hidden and fotgotten. It's located in Brodno district which is only 6 kilometers from the centre. I've lived in Brodno for more than 30 years and I didn't know about this buildings! Now I'm in love with this place and I really like to visit it.

Probably you have the last chance to see "ancient" suburbs of Warsaw - there are some plans to build new roads and the bridge, so everything will be demolished to prepare the investment.
