Photographer's Note

The Bicaz River tumbles it's way from Lacul Rosu over many falls and giant limestone boulders into the 5 km long Cheile Bicaz, or Bicaz Gorge. The gorge reaches a height of 300m in places and extremely narrow. It has a major road running through it and isn't uncommon for traffic to bank up in places where the sheer cliffs over hang the road while a tourist bus negotiates a bend.
