Photographer's Note

Hello friends and colleagues, today I present another pretty picture of the beach of the cathedrals in the Galician coast of Ribadeo, a beach with high cliffs and other curiosities which then communicate them in a few letters, I hope you like it.

Beach of the Cathedrals (in Galician: As Catedrais) is the name of the tourist beach Aguas Santas (in Galician: Praia de Augas Santas), located in the Galician town of Ribadeo. It is interesting to see the beach at high tide crossing the top of the cliffs in west-east direction towards Esteiro beach at low tide and see the sand from the beach to appreciate the magnitude of the cliffs and the evolution of the furnas or sea caves different in its formation from small cracks to ± as caves where the roof collapsing just by the erosive action of the waves and sea water. During low tide you can be accessed long sand bordered by a rock wall slate and shale eroded in strange shapes: arches over thirty meters reminiscent buttresses of a cathedral, caves tens of meters, corridors of sand between boulders and other curiosities. With the "spring tides" where the tides rise and fall more than normal tides more accessible even to nearby beaches along the sand, but that caution and should be back before the tide starts to rise as sea level rises quickly as it is a substantially horizontal stretch of coast belonging to the Cantabrian Rasa. The beach has this relief due to the effect of wind erosion and salt water.

You can access it via the N-634 road and rail, through the halt of Esteiro (RENFE-FEVE).
