Photographer's Note

Smögen is one of the liveliest "summer towns" of the Swedish West Coast. The town is well known for its long, boardwalk (around 600 meters), with many shops in old fishing huts. I have been here in the summers of two different years. Both time there were lots of boats moored alongside the boardwalk. Many boats contained young people partying. I assume that the boats were 'borrowed' from parents. However, there was a mix of ages. The smaller boats usually contained families crammed in to them. The very largest boats contained people of 'retirement' age. On two of the boats, pet dogs were in change ( A spaniel and a Jack Russel). It is an extremely photographic location; not just the boardwalk but the surrounding area. Next time I will stay more than a few hours. A few days possibly, so that I can explore the surrounding areas.
