Photographer's Note

After having violated the TE terms in my previous "100th" post, here is my "new" one.

This view has been taken from the Grand Mountet hut in the Swiss Alps. The refuge is located at 2886 meters in the middle of some of the highest mountains of the Alps. From right to left : Grand Cornier (3961m), Dent Blanche (4357m), Pointe de Zinal (3789m), Mont Durant (3713m) and some can guess the Ober Gabelhorn (4068m). In the center between the two glaciers, the Roc Noir.

Going up to the refuge from Zinal is long (about 5 hours) but very nice. The hut is nice, maybe a bit too big (115 places) and very crowded in summer (because of the summits around).

Panorama from 3 images assembled with Photomerge (PS CS2).
