Photographer's Note

Ukraine. Crimea (Krym) peninsula. Northern coast of the Black Sea.
Crimea to us, Ukrainians, is a magic land beloved from childhood.
There is everything one might wish to find there: sea, mountains, waterfalls, plains, forests, caves, ancient ruins.
This photo is from Balaklava, a small town not far from Sevastopol. It used to be closed during Soviet times due to the military zone (submarine plant inside of one of the mountains in Balaklava Bay). Now this bay is probably the best marina on the North coast of the Black Sea: it is very well protected, beautiful, quiet, with developed infrastructure.
