Kiev – St. Andrew's Church

Another landmark of Kiev is the baroque Saint Andrew's Church.
It was constructed between 1747 and 1754 to a design by the Italian architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli.
Built on a hilltop it overlooks the historic Podil district.

This is a picture of the rear side. I found its setting on the green hill seen from there more picturesque than seen from the front.

The square format of the photo is a little experiment. Of course I have pictures in vertical and horizontal format but I wasn’t too happy with them.
