Their Hero + The Hand Of ...........(in the workshop)

I don't know for absolute sure but I guess it's not too difficult to work out that Cnut's Ford atests to the Viking settlement of this place - I didn't see a river but there is a large lake which I also guess is the remains of a much larger flooded area.

Knutsford in Cheshire is the home to a delightful and charming French lady who is the mother of a well known and loved TE member. It was my great pleasure a few days ago to meet him (and his wife) for the first time and to take a wander with him through this really picturesque little town.

On the way we encountered a group of lads and interacted with them over bikes, puddles, ice.....and swans, chunks of wood and branches, poet laureates, the police and the need to look after these beautiful birds. They were all pretty nice lads really - just a little exciteable!

This guy here was pretty much the face and voice of the group - posture and expression say a lot - but he was also very prepared to engage with us as well - he took a real interest in our TE friend's pics. You can see for yourselves in the workshop.

Addendum: I forgot this was the last one of the year - so the best of light to everyone in 2006!!! Thanks for a great year of discovery!! :-)))
