Photographer's Note

It is a beautiful place, very much worth of visit but it is so hard to present in an interesting way.
Auckland Castle (in this photo) has already a provoking name. Some people could relate it to the largest town of New Zealand. But in the North East England there is a town called Washington which they call the original Washington, so why wouldn’t we have also Auckland? The town name is more precisely Bishop Auckland, and I have showed you already a view of its charming market square HERE. This time I have revisited before the noon so the light illuminated very different aspects of the town, like for example, this charming Auckland Castle. The owners of the castle have an incredible vision of transforming it into a famous tourist destination to wake up the little sleepy town. Hence a lot of constructions, scaffolding and not much chance to take a photo without it. Everything will be tourists oriented. They have even built a special viewing tower for tourists to be able to enjoy the aerial view of the castle grounds. The whole complex is to be opened this year. It is a great place for a short family walk although it seems the walking paths were also beloved by cows, judging by what they have abundantly left behind.
