Photographer's Note

Those of you who visit my gallery regularly will recognise this place; it is a favourite of mine and one that I have presented in various ways, but never in black and white before. A Regency masterpiece designed and built in an Indian/Oriental style, the Royal Pavilion in the city of Brighton, England is close to the seafront lying just back from the main road to London. This spectacular palace transformed by architect John Nash from 1815 to 1822, for King George IV (The Prince Regent), is considered to be one of the most dazzling and exotically beautiful buildings in the whole of the British Isles.
