Photographer's Note

Reflections picture in windows of a couple walking down Lime Street, Liverpool. This picture was shot from the window of the (new) hotel we were staying at. First shot of the day, in fact.

LIME STREET is a street in Liverpool city centre. It's also the name of the city's main train station. It used to have a so-so reputation way back in them days, hence this reference in "Maggie May" on the Beatles' last album.

"Oh dirty Maggie Mae
they have taken her away
And she'll never walk
down Lime Street anymore
Oh the judge he guilty found her
for robbing a homeward bounder
that dirty no good robbing Maggie Mae"

But this couple is just far too nice for that, so I picked another title from the same album for today's song title reference. Argh, sometimes I think I ought to let it be.

song title reference: The Beatles
