Photographer's Note

The Sir Walter Scott on Loch Katrine.
On the Loch since 1900. Built by Denny of Dumbarton on the River Clyde. Transported by barge to Loch Lomond.
Then dragged by horse drawn cart to Loch Katrine.
She is 110 feet long, 19 feet wide, 115 tons weight.
Is in service on the Loch each day.
In winter Laid up for any repairs.
Owned by Scottish Water.
Loch Katrine supplies Glasgow with fresh water.
