Photographer's Note

The world-famous Bodnant Garden surrounds the home of Lord Aberconway. It is opened to the public March-November by the National Trust.
First started in the 1790's it has gained fame for its collection of flowering shrubs and trees. This border is one of the first eye-catching displays that the visitor sees on entry to the walled garden area. One of teh garden's major attractions in late May is an unrivalled walk of pleached Laburnum trees that create a tunnel of hanging golden yellow racemes, unfortunately a little past their best on our visit.
