Photographer's Note

Autumn on the banks of the River Adur in West Sussex, England and the colours surround the little Saxon church of St Botolph's. The church dates from 950 and large parts of the Saxon construction remain, particularly in the chancel wall and arch, and in the south wall. The tower was added in the mid-13th century. There are three ancient bells, still in their original wooden frame. On Annington Hill above the church you can see the free range pigs of Red Gate Farm. This fairly new farm has caused a lot of debate and controversy being situated within the South Downs National Park.
