Photographer's Note

The last of my series on Stamford is rather different, being in colour (for Risto). But I think colour works better for this one. Dividing the town into two is the river Nene, where the flood plain provides a wide area of unbuilt land which is used as park. The main centre is to the left, but further areas of presevered architecture can be found across the river, as seen across the park.

Actually I think there's loads of things wrong with this, I put it in to complete the series on Stamford, and show this different aspect of the town. The centre of focus is confused, the eye being lead down the river to nothing, whereas the main interest is to the left. I tried all sorts of crops (please experiment) but I didn't think any of them any better than original.
