Photographer's Note

Usaually it takes about 45 seconds, depending on the aircraft weight, wind direction and speed, from the beginning of the take-off run until V2-speed, which is the lift-off moment from the ground, than another 10 seconds pprox. when a photographer has its available slot of time to shoot, in this split seconds one has to balance the camera and to follow the aircraft on the air. It taken me several dozens of trials to achieve such a moment, than I had both the light opportunity and the beautiful colored airplane you see here.

This specific airplane made its first flight on 16/09/1992, a Boeing 737-522 serving under Latvia flag of Air-Baltic, after it was originally flying as United-Airlines plane.

A take-off from runway 26 in Ben-Gurion airport.
