Symmetry... not perfect..., a photo from Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv

Photographer's Note

Between the modern buildings, found a spot which enable a symmetrical POV through.
By itself the vegetation and ponds gave added colors to contrast the grey-glassed edifices.

Location is about 32.0684, 34.7938 on the map.
RAW, F11.0, 1/200, ISO100, cropped both sides for a better composition.

Hello Ike,
The symmetry is not totally perfect, but on the other hand absolute perfection sometimes make a view less interesting. It's the small faults that create a dynamic image. Like in this case the trees to the left and the chair on the right side, just as the lower buildings seen to the right of the skyscrapers. The overall impression is that of an interesting skyline and a well captured depth, as well as a good exposure.

Hello Ike,
The two similar buildings are very well placed on both sides. The small ponds and the charming flowers in them are also well included to add a great symmetry in the foreground, only to be broken by the two towers further away, whose architecture is also most appealing.

Hi Ike,

The distance between the pond and the building in the background is creating depth. The point of view is showing the details of the highrise buildings. The light is making the colors to stand out. Have a nice day.

This contemporary architecture with large stacked and shifted blocks is popular. In Rotterdam, there is a wonderful example designed by Rem Koolhaas. Do you know who the architect of this building in Tel Aviv is?

what is this? some city you travelled to in 2150? this looks super cool! Seriously, this my be my favourite photo you have ever posted that i've seen - thats how much i like it. its got that shimmer and shine to the exterior walls that I enjoy as well. I am inclined to agree with Gert. Perfect symmetry can be boring sometimes. I like how the bg highrise buildings are offset to the 1/3 position of the blue sky part of the frame. Tfs!

Hello Ike,

This immediately struck me as a photograph of rectangles!
The f/g has guiding rectangles, to a rectangular archway, to rectangular buildings, even the negative space is rectangular.
As a piece of art work it is wonderful.
I like how the flowers just add that bit of colour, amongst the unifying blues and greys.

To me the small pool with the water plants and flowers and the seats left and right provide a break in the urban high-rise with busy offices, just like a little oasis.
Right in front of us we see a very remarkable building.
