Kalekoy (ancient Simena) has some nice views over the channel separating it from Kekova Island in the distance. There is a Lycian Necropolis on the hill beside the castle, and turtles and dolphins can often be seen frolicking in the water below. Additionally the sunken city is close by, along the shoreline of Kekova. No anchoring, swimming, or snorkeling is allowed, but boats are allowed to get close enough for an unforgettable view.

A series of violent earthquakes in the 2nd century AD changed the coastline of this area with some of the old city now underwater.
