Photographer's Note

Moraine Lake, nestled in The Valley of the Ten Picks just a short drive form the better known – Lake Louise, in Banff National Park, Alberta.

“Moraine” is the term for the edge of the glacier. The lake has an incredible turquoise color (given by the rock flour – fine glaciar debris – suspended in the water). I took several photos (more than one film) in different positions and at different times of the morning just to show the majesty of this place. It’s unbelievably pretty! It’s the most beautiful lake I have ever seen. When I got there – early in the morning – and this is what I recommend to every one who visit the place (later in the day gets crowded) I had a feeling that no lens has been invented yet, a lens that can help you capture on film and prove with only one picture the beautifulness of the entire place. I will post on TE four photos that might help me to show you “The Jewel of the Canadian Rockies” as it has become known.
